In April 2016 Manchester eScholar was replaced by the University of Manchester’s new Research Information Management System, Pure. In the autumn the University’s research outputs will be available to search and browse via a new Research Portal. Until then the University’s full publication record can be accessed via a temporary portal and the old eScholar content is available to search and browse via this archive.

Abstract

This paper discusses two applications of the Delphi technique, an approach which allows consensus amongst experts in relation to particular issues. Two examples of using Delphi are described here. The first application involves the development of a core curriculum for working with young people aged 16-25 for providers of initial educational psychology (EP) training programmes. The second centres on the revision of the Division of Educational and Child Psychology Training Committee (DECPTC) competencies for the British Psychology Society (BPS) standards.
