Project Work
Manchester eScholar Services will undertake specific work in particular areas of digital content management on a case by case basis. Projects can combine existing supported services and skills towards achieving particular goals.
Individuals or organisations within the University may request project work which may involve external bodies. Project work can range from providing advice and guidance to contributing resource and undertaking, for example, technical developments. Project work would normally be a collaborative activity and can involve bids to external bodies for funding.
Examples of project work where Manchester eScholar Services have made contributions are,
- MaDAM - a JISC funded project to pilot research data management infrastructure for biomedical researchers at the University of Manchester. The Manchester eScholar Support Team worked whith the MaDAM Project team to implement an interface so that researchers could archive their research data in Manchester eScholar.
- eProg - a University internally funded project to implement online skills training resources and progression support to staff and postgraduate students of The University of Manchester. The Manchester eScholar Support Team worked with the eProg Team to integrate the ETD submission processes into eProg.
